A beautiful vintage Kuba cloth from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The entire piece is made from raffia, a fibre taken from a palm tree, dyed in different colours. This one features a short pile and an assortment of different patterns. It's in good shape.
The Kuba cloth is quite stiff in texture and as such does not behave like a "normal" textile, more like a mat. This particular piece is in good vintage condition, with a few loose threads here and there.
