Beautiful indigo cotton cloth from Mali, traditionally worn as a wrapper.
The indigo-dyed textile consists of eight hand-woven strips that were hand-stitched together to form a larger blanket. One of the panels was a bit shorter, so we added a resist-dye fish in that corner. The cloth has a beautiful denim texture and on one end, the edge was not dyed, leaving a little white fringe.
In very good vintage condition.
Would look great as a throw blanket, wall hanging or even beach wrapper!
Length (without fringe): 150cm or 59 inches
Width: 93cm or 36 inches
Weight: about 450 grams
Care instructions: hand-wash and air-dry. A machine wash with a delicate cycle should be ok, too. Iron hot.
